Azerbaijani documentary `Sari Gelin` shown in Berlin

Berlin, March 27 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani documentary film `Sari Gelin` (Yellow Bride) produced originally in German language received a screening at the Astor Film Lounge, Berlin.

The documentary demonstrates Azerbaijan’s Jazz traditions and rare synthesis of Jazz and Mugam, based on an idea by chief executive of German-Azerbaijan Forum Parviz Yazdani and directed by Klaus Bernhardt.

Well-known figures of contemporary Azerbaijani music Alim Gasimov, Salman Qambarov, Rain Sultanov and Isfar Sarabski visited the filming of the joint project of German `Das apartment` and Azeri `Salname` film studios, `Sari Gelin` documentary which was produced by support of the German-Azerbaijan Forum, E-ON, SOCAR and Azerbaijani Embassy in Germany.

The documentary also stressed the musical centre Shusha’s great role in the culture of Azerbaijan.

The event was attended by Azerbaijani Ambassador to Germany Parviz Shahbazov.
