BAKU ART GALLERY HOSTS EXHIBITION OF BULGARIAN ARTIST EMIL STOICHEV
The Art Gallery of the Museum Center in Baku hosted Thursday an exhibition of paintings by Bulgarian artist Emil Stoichev under organizational support of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The exhibition is held under the aegis of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Bulgarian President Georgy Parvanov.
Speaking at the event, Minister Abulfaz Garalov said that paintings of the well-known artist are kept in famous museums of the world.
In his turn, the Bulgarian vice-president Angel Marin said the exhibition plays important role in boosting relations between the two countries.
Chairman of Azerbaijan Artists’ Union Farhad Khalilov highlighted that under the decision of colleagues of the organization, Emil Stoichev became a member of the Union. Then, Mr. Khalilov handed the membership card to the Bulgarian painter.
As a whole, Emil Stoichev is winner of some International Grand Prix Awards. More than 15 countries hosted exhibition of his paintings. His paintings are kept in museums in France, Germany, the Netherlands and other countries.
Famous Azerbaijani artists and representatives of the community were present at the event.
