Directors of the national libraries of over 15 countries, including Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kirgizia and Belarus arrived in Baku, on November 17 to partake in the 85th jubilee of establishment of Azerbaijan National Library after M.F.Akhundov.

The same day, guests visited National Library to familiarize themselves with book fair on the country`s culture, history, economy and history, and photo stand reflecting nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev`s meetings in the library.

Director of Turkey`s National Library Mr. Tuncel Acar told of significance of the books in upbringing of young generation.

Director of Belarus National Library Mr. Roman Motulski stressed the importance of the book values.

Director of National Library Karim Tahirov underlined that the 10th meeting of the Eurasian Assembly of Libraries and CIS`s National Libraries Council of Directors will be held on November 18.
