The 600-seat four-storied lyceum was built in accordance with a bilateral protocol signed last May.
Head of the socio-political department of the Azerbaijan Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov said “today we live not in the era of wars, but in the era of science and high technologies”. “The whole world now knows Ceyhan. I believe that some day this lyceum will give Turkey ministers and governors” he added.
Azeri Deputy Minister of Education Elmar Gasimov spoke of educational cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey. He said under a bilateral students exchange agreement, 4,000 Turkish students are studying in Azerbaijan, while 4,000 Azeri students in Turkey.
At the end of the ceremony, Huseyin Celik and Ali Hasanov put flowers at nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev`s bust in the lyceum.
