NEW AZERBAIJANI DIASPORA ORGANIZATION SET UP IN GERMANY
Baku, 17 January (AZERTAC). A new Azerbaijani diaspora organization Union of Azerbaijani Students and Scholars was set up in Germany, the State Committee for Diaspora Issues told AZERTAC.
The organization officially registered on January 12 aims to unite students living and studying in Germany and to implement joint projects. It will organize various events, including Azerbaijani nights, scientific conferences to increase awareness of German public about Azerbaijan, its history, traditions, culture and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The union has branches in several cities. The organization is chaired by a student of Freiberg Technical University Samir Abbasov.
