Jacob Bloemberg: WUF13 is one of the largest platforms for discussing the future of cities

“World Urban Forum 13 is one of the world’s largest platforms bringing together people focused on the future of cities,” Jacob Bloemberg, co-founder of the “Faith” Pavilion set up at World Urban Forum 13, told AZERTAC.
Jacob Bloemberg said religious communities can support vulnerable groups. He noted that the forum combines global discussions with local cooperation and added that the “Faith Pavilion” brings together different faiths to explore how religious leaders can strengthen the resilience of future cities.
Noting that he is visiting Azerbaijan for the first time, Bloemberg expressed his desire to learn more about Baku and the country. He also highly appreciated Azerbaijan’s hosting of such an international event.
The Faith Pavilion at WUF13 will serve as a dynamic space that highlights the essential role of Religion, and faith-based organizations (FBOs) and faith leaders in addressing urban challenges. With the growing complexity of urbanization and the increasing need for inclusive and sustainable solutions, the Faith Pavilion provides a platform for sharing how religious communities contribute to urban development, social cohesion, sustainable development.
