Ömer Bulut: Azerbaijan is making significant progress in sustainable and affordable housing

“The social housing concept is widely implemented in both Türkiye and Azerbaijan. While construction is more extensive in Türkiye due to its larger population, Azerbaijan also attaches great importance to social housing. President Ilham Aliyev pays special attention to this sector, and MIDA is implementing social housing projects across different regions,” Ömer Bulut, Türkiye`s Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, told AZERTAC.
Ömer Bulut said he has personally visited the projects on site and that cooperation and experience-sharing with MIDA will continue in the future. He noted that these initiatives will be particularly important for low-income groups and people with limited access to housing. Describing sustainable and affordable housing as a key theme of the event, he emphasized that Azerbaijan is taking important steps in this direction.
