Bomb threats received in courthouses, public buildings across Bulgaria

Reports of explosive devices have been received in courthouses and public buildings across much of the country, the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) reported on Monday. The threats were received by email before noon. In most places, employees and visitors were evacuated from the buildings.
Earlier in the day, reports of explosive devices planted in courthouses and other institutions in the cities of Burgas, Yambol, Razgrad, Stara Zagora, Smolyan, Targovishte, Varna, Dobrich, Silistra, Veliko Tarnovo, Blagoevgrad, Lovech, Pazardzhik, Vidin, Haskovo, Sofia Region, Kardzhali, Shumen, Pleven, Montana and Gabrovo were reported.
Threatening emails have been received in seven prosecutor's offices in Sofia Region, the Sofia Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior told BTA. After thorough checks, during which no suspicious objects and belongings were found, the work process has been restored, the directorate added.
