A new concert program by the “Gaya” State Ensemble will be presented.

As part of the program, new arrangements based on the musical comedy “Arshin Mal Alan” by prominent Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli will be showcased.

In the new musical interpretation of “Arshin Mal Alan,” the main solo and choral numbers from the musical comedy are presented in a multi-voice variety-jazz style. The project represents one of the creative directions that the “Gaya” State Ensemble has been developing for many years.

The “Arshin Mal Alan” fantasy was created by Rauf Babayev, People’s Artist of Azerbaijan and soloist of the legendary “Gaya” Quartet, and Nazim Ahmadov, artist of the “Gaya” State Ensemble, composer, and arranger.

Through these new arrangements, the musical heritage of Uzeyir Hajibeyli’s timeless work will be presented in a contemporary pop-jazz style.
