Azerbaijan ensured that transit routes which could have bypassed country now cross through its territory, says minister

“Azerbaijan has become one of the important transport hubs in Eurasia,” said Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev, in his remarks at a special session on “Cities at the heart of connectivity: Urban reconstruction and regional cooperation” held as part of the WUF13.
“Since 2021, Azerbaijan has ensured that transit routes which could have bypassed the country now cross through its territory, doubling the volume of transit transportation,” the minister underscored.
