D-8 Secretary-General: Organization of the WUF13 is another success for Azerbaijan after COP29

“I congratulate Azerbaijan for hosting the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13) and its efforts to build sustainable cities. Organization of WUF13 is another success for Azerbaijan after COP29,” said Sohail Mahmood, Secretary General of the Developing-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation (D-8), at the D-8 High-Level Energy and Urban Dialogue Meeting as part of WUF13.
He noted that the world is currently facing a serious crisis and many people are suffering from the consequences of political debates.
