Former Turkish ambassador: Azerbaijan’s hosting of WUF13 marks a major success for the entire Turkic world
Ankara, May 19, AZERTAC
Azerbaijan has become a major center of discussions on global urbanization issues. The participation of a record number of nearly 45,000 delegates from all over the world in the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) demonstrates the importance and relevance of this platform for dialogue and for recognizing the scale of urbanization challenges, Hulusi Kılıç, former Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan and representative of the IMZA Social Development Support Public Union in Türkiye, told AZERTAC.
According to him, Azerbaijan, with its extensive experience in organizing international events, is significantly contributing to the dialogue within the WUF13. He also recalled the successful hosting of the COP29 climate summit in Baku.
“Baku’s becoming the first city in the region to host the WUF forums is another sign of Azerbaijan's growing influence, marking a success for the entire Turkic world," Hulusi Kılıç noted.
