Minister: Azerbaijan has resolved one of the region’s most complex and longest-lasting territorial conflicts
Baku, May 19, AZERTAC
“Azerbaijan has resolved one of the region’s most complex and longest-lasting territorial conflicts,” said Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov during his speech at the special session titled “Cities at the heart of connectivity: Urban reconstruction and regional cooperation,” held within the framework of the 13th Session of the United Nations World Urban Forum (WUF13).
He noted that Azerbaijan has managed to reduce the poverty rate from 49 percent to 5 percent in less than 20 years.
“Strong links must be established between the economic development of cities and connectivity, and the well-being of people must be at the center of all these processes,” he emphasized.
