FM Bayramov: Historic opportunity emerges for peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia

“Türkiye and Georgia are Azerbaijan`s main trade partners. Today, we held discussions across various domains, including economy, trade, high technologies and tourism. We anticipate successful cooperation in traditional energy fields and the implementation of several projects,” said Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov as he addressed a joint press conference held in Baku following the ninth trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Georgia.
"We see vast prospects for the Digital Silk Way. Considering this year`s significance, we also underscored that the upcoming COP29 in Baku serves as a catalyst for cooperation among our countries. During the meeting, we stressed the importance of cooperation in the field of science and education.”
Touching on relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and steps toward peacebuilding, Jeyhun Bayramov noted the emergence of a historic opportunity to achieve a peace treaty between the two countries.
“It is imperative to adhere to the norms and principles of international law to ensure peace. The international community should take measures to encourage the Armenian side to engage in honest and transparent negotiations with Azerbaijan."
