Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan sign several documents on cooperation
4th Uzbekistan–Azerbaijan Interregional Forum brings together over 400 companies

Organized in Tashkent, the 4th Uzbekistan–Azerbaijan Interregional Forum focused on expanding bilateral ties, implementing joint economic projects, and signing key bilateral agreements between the two countries.
Supported by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy and Uzbekistan’s Investment, Industry and Trade Ministry, the 4th Uzbekistan–Azerbaijan Interregional Forum was co-organized by AZPROMO and the Investment Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Along with government officials, nearly 400 companies attended the forum, where key sectors represented included heavy industry, automotive, metallurgy, construction, textiles, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and tourism, among others.
Addressing the forum, Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov noted that thanks to the political will of the two countries’ Presidents, the intensive development of Azerbaijan–Uzbekistan relations gives strong impetus to diversifying our economic ties and strengthening our business partnership.
Discussions focused on boosting economic cooperation, deepening B2B links, and expanding joint initiatives across industry, investment, trade, energy, transport, digitalization, and agriculture.
Speakers described the Middle Corridor as a cornerstone of Azerbaijan–Uzbekistan economic relations, emphasizing that the goal to transform the route from a simple transit pathway into a high-value economic platform.
The forum highlighted the investment potential of Garabagh and East Zangezur, stressing that state-led infrastructure development and incentive programs provide favorable conditions for private sector engagement.
Uzbek Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov hailed the consistent growth of bilateral economic ties.
AZPROMO Executive Director Yusif Abdullayev and Acting Director of Uzbekistan’s Investment Promotion Agency Roksana Nesor highlighted the export and investment potential of both countries alongside entrepreneur support frameworks.
The forum was also attended by Deputy Head of Tashkent City Administration Sharof Rakhmanov, Head of Baku City Executive Authority Eldar Azizov, Deputy Governor of Tashkent Region Jahongir Mamajonov, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Aghdam, Fuzuli and Khojavend districts Emin Huseynov, Mayor of Namangan City Ayubkhon Kamalov and Head of Bilasuvar District Executive Authority Faig Gurbatov.
The 4th Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Interregional Forum, concluded with the signing of bilateral agreements across core sectors such as energy, finance, infrastructure, construction, and industrial manufacturing. The signed documents aim to strengthen trade networks, unlock private sector potential, and launch joint projects.
The forum continued with B2B networking sessions.
