Max Jason Mai with Don`t Close Your Eyes
Baku, March 30 (AZERTAC). The 2012 Slovakian representative rockstar Max Jason Mai who will fly the Slovakian flag next May in Baku has sent a message for all his fans. Max Jason Mai who enjoys name, fame and recognition both in Slovakia and the Czech Republic will be going to Baku with the song Don`t close your eyes.
A young and talented star will represent Slovakia this year in the Eurovision Song Contest: Max Jason Mai (MJM) was born on November 27th, 1988, and he is a rock musician, singer-songwriter and rhythm guitarist.
He describes himself as someone who "loves people with a sense of humour and the good things in life", like music, sports, yoga, love, and nature. Talking about his music, he cites influences by a wide range of artists, like Led Zeppelin, Whitesnake, Alter Bridge, 30 Seconds to Mars, Dream Theater, Metallica, John Mayer, Enigma, Sade, Ennio Morricone, and even Antonin Dvorak.
In Baku, Max Jason Mai will sing Don`t close your eyes, the music and lyrics of which he wrote himself. The song has been produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette, and right now the official video clip is being shot - it will be presented later this week. .
Max Jason Mai has been internally selected to represent Slovakia in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest for being charming and having the ability to surprise Europe with "a crazy stage performance and an energetic rock song".
Last December STV informed and confirmed to esctoday.com its decision to compete at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku. STV also informed esctoday.com that they would choose their entry and representative internally and hence would not have a national final.
Slovakia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 with Martin Durinda and Tublatanka, a well known rock band in Slovakia and neighbouring Czech Republic. Slovakia is yet to win the Eurovision Song Contest.
