Minister of Emergency Situations Kemaleddin Heydarov informed that 104 living mansions were built in Allahmadatli village. Out of that number, there are 28 two rooms, 58 three rooms and 18 four rooms houses. Appropriate conditions have been provided for each family to live in these houses. Owners of houses which came into dangerous status following inundations in Allahmadatli, Telishli and Hajimustafaly villages of Imishli region will start to live in newly built houses. In total, 104 families composed of 629 people will move to a new village created by the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The total area of village is 40 hectares. Each family got 12 hundredth part of this area. The building of a school and the town hall were built in the village. Furthermore, modular type water purification facility is installed nearby. Refurbishment work was carried out in surrounding area.

Power and water supplies for houses were also in the focus of attention which required the construction of water storage basins, dedicated water pipelines for each house. Internal village roads have been refurbished at these places. It is envisaged to supply natural gas to the houses in the future.

President Ilham Aliyev met with local residents and congratulated them by saying:

- Good afternoon. I congratulate you sincerely on the occasion of establishment of this nice settlement. There are excellent conditions to live here. Those are spacious, comfortable, large stone made houses. A nice park is built also around here. I am very pleased that the entire work was carried out at appropriate level and there are all conditions to live here. In any case, it is much better than in the past. Previous houses were built from simple raw bricks. They were tiny and conditions were not so good. But, now houses we have there are as following: four rooms house’s area is 137 square meters; three rooms house is 75 and two rooms’ house is 70 sq.m. There are also medical center and a school. I am very pleased that during short period of time such nice looking settlements were established here. Such excellent settlements and houses are being constructed not only in Imishli region, but also in all regions which suffered from natural calamity. The area of 70 thousand hectares was inundated fully. This became a big disaster which destroyed 3500 houses or made it to come into dangerous status. Over 70 social facilities are collapsed here. Now, all of them are under restoration. There are already 1500 houses built. Another set of 800 houses is underway. If there will be a need, we will build more houses.

In general, refurbishment work is in progress in the buildings of 27 schools. The work is completed in their larger part. This attractive school building is ready. 15 mosques, 12 hospitals, medical center and 6 kindergartens are under repair. This is a new large project. We have done this tremendous work in a short period of time. It took only 4 - 5 months and even shorter time. All of the houses are beautiful, attractive ones done with quality. The settlement is built in line with architecture and civil engineering rules. There are also roads and surrounding areas refurbished. All you need now is to live, work and rest in this beautiful place. I congratulate you once again and wish you good health.

President Ilham Aliyev: Thank you very much. In fact, this is an exemplary settlement. That is to say that you can see such nice settlement in the regions of Azerbaijan even in rare cases. Of course, we have a plenty of historical and beautiful villages and living districts. But, this settlement is built on the basis of modern plan. All houses are beautiful, comfortable and spacious by providing good living conditions. This demonstrates once again that Azerbaijani people can show its unity in front of any disaster. We were not shocked by that tragedy in those difficult moments, days and months. It means that the whole nation was mobilized as the tragedy occurred. All necessary assistance was rendered at appropriate level. Rescuers, all institutions, local executive power authorities and citizens have been working day and night to sort out from this situation, and we did it. Today, following several months, we witness already such nice settlements.

It shows that Azerbaijan is a strong state. It shows that people and authorities are hand in hand in Azerbaijan. It shows that there is a strong social policy pursued in Azerbaijan. It shows once again that we have larger financial and technical capabilities. It is not that easy to build such settlements during several months. This work is carried out not only in Imishli, but also in other regions which faced mud torrents and inundations. It will continue in the future. Besides that, as you noted, other work is also underway. You say that the new road to be built will serve the population of 40 thousand. Hospitals, social infrastructure, schools and cultural centers are the factors which strengthen Azerbaijan and create good conditions for living in each region.

My goal is ensure a better life and prosperity for Azerbaijani citizens, and not to have unemployment and poverty by ensuring peace and welfare. People should live in comfortable and safe conditions.

The work carried out in Azerbaijan during last years is reflected in this settlement. I congratulate you once again and wish you good health.

President Ilham Aliyev studied the general plan of Allahmadatli village.

It was reported that the area of 14 thousand 770 hectares was inundated when the natural disaster occurred in Imishli by making 528 houses to become dangerous for living or destroyed them at all. For the time being, 500 new houses were built to replace obsolete ones. The construction of remaining part is still underway.

It was reported that the settlement for 51 families was built in Zardab. There are 34 two rooms, 16 three rooms’ living mansions and 1 four rooms’ house were constructed in the settlement. All houses are provided with necessary infrastructure. 1664 houses were damaged in Zardab. Out of that number, 1525 are houses, 1 is educational facility, 1 is kindergarten and 8 are mosques. Inundations in Kurdamir have damaged 266 buildings.

President Ilham Aliyev got familiarized with the building of a new school. A photostand organized in ground floor of the school described attention and care of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to the field of education. The school is equipped with necessary facilities and educational materials. There are 8 modern PCs installed in computer room. In nearest future, PCs will be connected to broadband internet. There are 1400 books in the school’s library. These books have been gifted by the government to the school library on the basis of Decree of President Ilham Aliyev on Printing Mass Literature in Latin Scrypt of Azerbaijani language. Sport site was built also to enable schoolchildren to go for sport.
