Kyrgyz Prime Minister appraised role of N. Nazarbayev in Kyrgyzstan restoration process
Baku, February 5 (AZERTAC). Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has received Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev in Akorda today, the Presidential press service reported.
Issues of bilateral cooperation development were discussed at the meeting.
The Kyrgyz Prime Minister highly appraised the role of Nursultan Nazarbayev in stabilization of the situation in Kyrgyzstan and expressed gratitude for help rendered by Kazakhstan. Totally, the volume of humanitarian aid exceeded USD 20 mln.
A. Atambayev also noted that Kazakhstan was the key partner and investor of Kyrgyzstan. The trade turnover between the two states made over USD 500 mln last year.
An international business forum with the participation of the Kazakh businessmen is planned to be held in Bishkek soon. Topical issues of restoration and development of the Kyrgyz economy will be addressed at the forum.
The Kyrgyz Premier assured that all necessary measures to protect the Kazakh investments would be taken in the country.
