57th International Film Festival starts in Taormina

Baku, June 13 (AZERTAC). The 57th edition of International Film Festival in Taormina has started at Teatro Greco (Greek Theatre).

Organized by Taormina Arte , with the invaluable support of the Sicilian Region , the Ministry of Heritage and Culture , Sicily Film Commission, the City of Taormina , and other important institutions and private sponsors, the Festival is directed by film critic Deborah Young since 2007.

The festival is a great showcase of important premieres of films (Toy Story 3 in 2010 ) not only from Hollywood, but also around the world. Each year the festival presents a selection of 21 recent films international or global.

This year, the focus is on three countries of Maghreb - Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco - involved in the enormous social changes which have, of course, also a strong influence on film. The review on the Maghreb and its guests will be on thought all the days of the Film Festival.

Last year famous visitor was Robert de Niro, who originally comes from Italian. So if you like celebrity spotting, visit this year Taormina Film Fest.
