"Masdar" to launch several more green energy projects in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov met the UAE delegation led by Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Masdar, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology.
The meeting focused on Implementation of onshore and offshore green energy projects with the Masdar company, participation of state-run companies in the upstream sector of both countries, as well as issues of cooperation within the framework of COP29. The sides hailed the joint contribution of the construction of 1000 MW solar and wind power plants to the green energy transition of our countries.
The the Ministry of Energy, Azerenerji OJSC and Masdar company signed the Addendum to the Investment Agreement on the 445 MW Bilasuvar, 315 MW Neftchala solar power plants and 240 MW Absheron-Garadagh wind power plant projects, as well as the Energy Purchase and Sale Agreement, Transmission Network Connection Agreement and Land lease agreement.
The documents were signed by Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov and Azerenerji President Baba Rzayev for Azerbaijan, and Chief Executive Director Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi on behalf of Masdar.
