Baku, February 4 (AZERTAC). Chinese Xinhua News Agency has published an article highlighting the signing of an agreement between Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AZERTAC) and Confucius Institute under the Baku State University.
Headlined “AZERTAC journalists to actively learn Chinese culture and language”, says that the signing ceremony was accompanied by the opening of the branch of the Confucius Institute at AZERTAC.
The article notes that under the agreement, the Center will provide Chinese language courses to employees of the Agency and also send the Agency`s employees to internship to China, and offer counselling and translation services to AZERTAC with the aim of promoting its news products in the Asian region.
The article says AZERTAC`s Director General Aslan Aslanov hailed the opening of the center as a symbol of friendly relations between the two countries.
“He also praised relations and information exchange between Xinhua and AZERTAC, adding these bonds would further steadily develop.”
“Aslanov hailed the two agencies`s cooperation and mutual support in international and regional news alliances, including the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies,” the article says.
