Applied and Computational Mathematics becomes first Azerbaijani journal to receive Thomson Reuter`s impact factor
Baku, June 28 (AZERTAC). According to the Thomson Reuter Agency Journal Citation Report for 2012, the International Journal of Applied and Computational Mathematics of Azerbaijan has received the Impact Factor - 0.75.
The Azerbaijan`s journal was founded in 2002 by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and Institute of Applied Mathematics of Baku State University. This is a three-annual Journal that publishes high-quality peer-reviewed research papers on the board ranges of applied and computational mathematics.
The journal was included in the Science Citation Index Expanded list in 2008 and firstly in Azerbaijan received impact-factor 0.663 according to the annual Journal Citation Reports®, Thomson Reuters in 2009.
The Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics publishes original papers of high scientific value in all areas of computational and applied mathematics. The main interest of the Journal is in papers that describe and analyze new computational techniques for solving scientific or engineering problems. Also the improved analysis, including the effectiveness and applicability, of existing methods and algorithms is of importance. The computational efficiency (e.g. the convergence, stability, accuracy, ...) should be proved and illustrated by nontrivial numerical examples. Papers describing only variants of existing methods, without adding significant new computational properties are not of interest.
International Journal of Applied and Computational Mathematics of Azerbaijani is the only Azerbaijani journal being included to the list of the Thomson Reuter Agency.
Thomson Reuters is the world`s leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals.
