Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations meets Chairman of Pakistan`s National Disaster Management Authority
Baku, June 5 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel General Kamaladdin Heydarov has today met with Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) of Pakistan Muhammad Saeed Aleem on the sidelines of the 7th International Conference on Disaster Risk Management in Gabala.
Heydarov noted that the official Islamabad had always supported Azerbaijan`s fair position within all international organizations in the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The Azerbaijani Minister said there were wide prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries` relevant authorities in the field of prevention and elimination of consequences of emergency situations. He said that Pakistani youth have the opportunity to study at the ministry’s academy.
Muhammad Saeed Aleem said that Pakistan was one of the first countries to recognize Azerbaijan`s independence and always supports its territorial integrity. “The official Islamabad hasn’t established diplomatic relations with Armenia.”
He also noted that the NDMA was keen on cooperation with their Azerbaijani counterparts.
