ILHAM ALIYEV IS EFFECTIVE POLITICIAN WITH HIGH CHANCES TO RECEIVE ONCE AGAIN TRUST OF PEOPLE, OLEG MOROZOV
“President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has very high chances to receive once again trust of people during democratic presidential elections of the country", said Oleg Morozov, the first vice-president of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, under-secretary of Presidium of the General Council of the "Yedinaya Rossia" Party. “Ilham Aliyev’s four-year activity on the post of the president of Azerbaijan showed, that he is an effective politician who has managed during his presidency to provide political stability in the country, to achieve a high level of support from the population and consequently, I very highly estimate his chances of victory", he stressed.
In reply to the question whether means the agreement signed recently between the party "Yedinaya Rossia" and the "Yeni Azerbaijan” party support by them the president of Azerbaijan and the "Yeni Azerbaijan" party on forthcoming elections, Oleg Morozov told: "Yes, it is absolutely obvious, that it means our support. Because we, too, consider, that, as well as Russia, Azerbaijan experiences very important stage of its development, as well as many states, faces such historical turning-point, being consolidated by around nationally elected president and powerful political party "Yeni Azerbaijan" on which the president relies. It is, in general, a way of overcoming crisis traditional for the newest history and new level of development, consolidation of the country. And consequently, we consider, that in Azerbaijan, also as well as in Russia, there should be the most mass effective political party around of which the society could be consolidated, certainly, with observance of the rules of democracy, that, actually, is approved by the Constitution of Azerbaijan and the policy the President pursues.
Predicting development of the Russian-Azerbaijan relations during the post-elective period in Russia, Oleg Morozov stated, that he does not see any reasons to believe, that these relations can change in the worst direction. As he said, today the world is multipolar, and it is clear, that each country has national-state interests. Therefore, O. Morozov stressed, it is important to respect, on the one hand, these interests, and on the other hand, - not to suppose at all, that these national-state interests could damage the good neighboring relations.
“The Russian Federation and “Yedinaya Rossia” considers the post-soviet space as priority of its policy because these are our neighbors and we have common huge past. Unfortunately, once we nearly lost it, and today we restore it, and I think we have good prospects”, said Mr. Morozov.
