Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Health, ADB eye priority areas of cooperation

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Health Teymur Musayev has met with the Country Director of the Azerbaijan Resident Mission at Asian Development Bank (ADB) Candice McDeigan to discuss dynamic development of the regional cooperation between Azerbaijan and ADB.
Teymur Musayev touched upon digitalization reforms in the country’s healthcare sector, reforming the healthcare system, including human capital development and digitalization as its main priority. He also expressed the Ministry’s keenness to further cooperation with the ADB.
Candice McDeigan said that the ADB Mission in Azerbaijan fully supported the country’s healthcare reforms. McDeigan also noted that the ADB’s Country Partnership Strategy (CPS) (2024-2028) for Azerbaijan would be drafted this year, adding that the document would set a long-term priorities for Azerbaijan-ADB partnership.
The sides also exchanged views on development of cooperation in the sphere of digital healthcare.
