AZERBAIJAN PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV MEETS WITH REPRESENTATIVE OF RUSSIAN FEDERATION ON INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION, AMBASSADOR IGOR YUSUFOV
During the conversation, President Ilham Aliyev pointed out the successful development of the Azerbaijan-Russia relations in all spheres including energy sector saying the oil pipeline Baku-Novorossiysk is a good example of this, it is operating today, and I am sure it will in the future.
Touching on the signing the bilateral documents between Russia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan to define the Caspian legal status, the Head of State expressed hope that these agreements would have a positive effect on a final decision.
President Ilham Aliyev congratulated Igor Yusufov on the new appointment and wished him every success in future activities.
Mr. Yusufov thanked the President Aliyev for the warm conversation and kind words, noted that Russian companies would continue to be further actively involved in Azerbaijan’s energy projects. The cooperation between our countries is very successful not only in oil sector but also in the sphere of energetics that corresponds to the principle of the Azerbaijan-Russia strategic partnership.
Mentioning the friendly relations between the two Presidents, Ambassador Yusufov handed the letter of congratulations from Russian President Vladimir Putin over to President Ilham Aliyev.
The Head of Azerbaijan State thanked the Ambassador for the letter and asked him to convey his cordial greetings to Mr. Vladimir Putin.
