PRIME MINISTERS OF THE SOUTHEASTERN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES COMMENCES “STABILITY IN 21ST CENTURY” MEETING
On the invitation of the Austrian Federal Chancellor Alfred Gusenbauer, on 28 July, Prime Ministers of the Southeastern European countries started an informal meeting “Stability in 21st Century” in the Austrian city of Saltsburg, AZERTAC reported referring to the Chancellor’s Office. The Premiers are expected to debate also other urgent questions, as energy policy, cooperation of Danube basin countries, expansion of economic ties, as well as integration to Europe.
As stated, in the frame of gathering, the conferees will also estimate execution of the Saltsburg Declaration adopted in March 2006. The Declaration included simplification of visa procedures between the Western Balkan countries and EU members, the agreements on deportation of illegal migrants, other issues.
The discussions will revolve around the Danube River, its potential opportunities as transit for EU countries, as the climate changes urges the question.
Prime Ministers of Albania, Croatia, Montenegro and Moldova, as well as federal foreign minister of Austria takes part at the event.
