US STATE DEPARTMENT ALLOCATED FOR MASTER PLAN ON DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM IN AZERBAIJAN
According to the information received from the US embassy in Baku, Trade and Development Agency for Europe, structure of the US Department of State, has allocated $300 thousand for preparation of master plan on development of tourism in Azerbaijan. On 28 April, the US ambassador to Azerbaijan Reno Harnish and minister of youth, sports and tourism of Azerbaijan has signed a relevant contract at the ministry of youth, sports and tourism of Azerbaijan.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Minister Garayev stressed that creation of similar document would substantially stimulate foreign investors, wishing to put investments to the tourist field in the Country.
Ambassador Reno Harnish stated that, in turn, the United States is keen in economic development of Azerbaijan. Development of tourism will open new working places in the Republic, he underlined.
The site of the Agency will contain certain information on tender to attract the American companies. The tender winner will be defined by mutual consent of the Agency and Ministry. The master plan should be prepared until late 2005
