This idea was emphasized at the meeting in Milli Majlis of Mr. Robert Livingston, the ex-speaker of the House of Representatives of the USA Congress who is now visiting Baku, Chairman of the "Group of Livingston" Company with members of Azerbaijan-USA inter-parliamentary group of friendship and women-deputies of parliament of Azerbaijan.

As stated, Chairman of the International Relations and Inter-Parliamentary Links Standing Committee of Milli Majlis Samad Seyidov has highly estimated the visit of Mr. Robert Livingston, which met the national interests of Azerbaijan.

Robert Livingston has regarded intensive growth of development observable in the country, economic rise, and internal stability as the guarantor of strengthening of cooperation. He has noted, that steady development existing between the USA and Azerbaijan of the relations of friendship and cooperation promises successful prospects. According to him, special value represents the further expansion of inter-parliamentary contacts in the given sphere and intensification of mutual visits of deputies of the two countries.

At the meeting, the interlocutors in detail spoke of the work done by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, its President Mehriban Aliyeva, directed on strengthening of contacts with USA Congress, about results of the reforms which have been carried out in Azerbaijan for last years, about global and regional projects.

During conversation, also was in the focus the problem of Nagorno Karabakh.

Elimination, despite of all attempts of the Armenian Diaspora, of the mistake admitted in the annual report of the USA Department of State, has been regarded as a victory of the Azerbaijan diplomacy. Efforts of the President of Azerbaijan in the given question have been especially underlined. It was marked, that the USA are the strategic ally of Azerbaijan and consequently interests of the state should be above interests of lobby and lobbyism.

Contributor of the "Group of Livingston" Company Ms. Lorie Fitt-Pegado stressed necessity of inviting to the Republic of the representatives of mass media of her country to bring the Azerbaijan realities to the notice of American public.
