Director General of Turkish TRT channel awarded honorary diploma of Azerbaijan Odlar Yurdu University

Baku, September 30 (AZERTAC). Director General of Turkish TRT channel Ibrahim Shahin, who visited today Azerbaijan Odlar Yurdu University was awarded honorary diploma of the University.
Prior to the award ceremony, the Turkish delegation and university staff has put flowers in front of the bust of Azerbaijan`s national leader, architecture and founder of independent Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev.
Ibrahim Sahin has met with rector of the University, MP, Professor Ahmad Valiyev, who hailed unity of Azerbaijan and Turkey, describing it as “historic”.
Valiyev has also stressed Azerbaijan`s dynamic development and its increasing influence in the international arena.
“All these achievements are the result of national leader Heydar Aliyev`s policy”, he underlined.
Speaking on the activity and international relations of the university, Valiyev said “the university has productive cooperation with a number of universities of the world, including the Turkish, British and German ones”.
Ibrahim Sahin, in turn, hailed relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan. He fully informed the rector on the TRT Channel.
The attendees watched a video on the activity of the TRT channel.
Attending the meeting, head of the Ataturk Center in Azerbaijan, chairman of the cultural committee of the Parliament (Milli Majlis), correspondent member of the Academy of National Sciences of Azerbaijan Nizami Jafarov and MP Ganira Pashayeva spoke of the Azerbaijani-Turkish relations.
The speakers hailed the TRT channel and its director general Ibrahim Sahin`s role in delivering Azerbaijani truths to the world community.
Turkish ambassador to the country Ismail Alper Coskun stressed the importance of all-round relations between the two countries, including educational ones.
