EBRD increases support for sustainable urban development projects in Eastern Europe and Central Asia

As part of WUF13, Lyza Rossi, a representative of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), highlighted the support for sustainable urban development programs in the countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
The WUF13 participant underlined that the financial institution continues to invest in upgrading urban infrastructure, developing green transport and improving energy efficiency of municipal systems. During the presentation, she focused on financing climate-resilient projects aimed at adapting cities to the impacts of climate change and improving urban environment quality.
Lyza Rossi noted that the EBRD is actively cooperating with local authorities to implement modern approaches to urban development and attract private investment to infrastructure initiatives. She emphasized that sustainable urbanization has become a key factor in improving economic stability and quality of life in the region.
