Moroccan Secretary of State: Renovating buildings should rely on solutions that are both appropriate and balanced
Baku, May 20, AZERTAC
“There are a number of serious challenges in the process of urban regeneration, including the destruction of buildings and historic neighborhoods, as well as the displacement of people from their homes. More thoughtful and sustainable approaches must be applied to the preservation of historic neighborhoods,” said Adib Benbrahim, Secretary of State to the Minister of National Land Planning, Urban Development, Housing and City Policy, in charge of Housing of the Kingdom of Morocco, during the panel session titled “Rethinking Cultural Heritage and Inclusive Urban Regeneration” held as part of WUF13.
“Renovating buildings should rely on solutions that are both appropriate and balanced,” the Moroccan Secretary of State noted.
