Regional forum on support of Russian language kicks off in Baku

Baku, October 1 (AZERTAC). “Support of Russian language as the foundation for developing integration processes in CIS” regional forum has commenced in Azerbaijan`s capital of Baku bringing together more than 150 young Russian language teachers, alumni and students.
Participants in the event included Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin, Rector of Tula State Pedagogical University Vladimir Panin, Director General of the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency - AZERTAC Aslan Aslanov, and Director General of Interfax-Azerbaijan Agency Alexander Ivanov, as well as officials of the ministries of Education and Culture and Tourism, representatives of Azerbaijan Writers’ Union, and parliamentarians.
Ambassador Dorokhin and Rector Panin made speeches in the opening ceremony.
The four-day forum will feature trainings, methodological workshops, a Russian literary exhibition and a round table.
