World Bank: Azerbaijan’s position creates great advantage for knowledge exchange
Baku, May 20, AZERTAC
"I believe this forum is highly important because it creates an opportunity for exchanging knowledge and ideas. There is much to learn from different regions of the world, and people must learn from one another," stated Mohamed Nada, Senior Urban Specialist at the World Bank, while speaking to AZERTAC about the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku.
According to him, Latin America has successful experience in citizen engagement and local development financing.
"In this region, however, it is evident that tourism plays a vital role in local economic development and sustainable urbanization. Urban adaptation to climate change is also a central theme of discussion here. In my view, cities must learn from one another, and that is precisely the main objective of this forum. Located at the crossroads of East and West, Azerbaijan creates a great advantage for the exchange of ideas and experiences," Mohamed Nada added.
