President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of Liquorice Industry Park in Aghdash.
The head of state launched the liquorice manufacturing and processing plant.
Scientific Advisor of “Biyan Products LLC”, Professor of the Azerbaijan Medical University Mahbuba Veliyeva said:
- Dear Mr. President, we are proud that you gave us this idea. On behalf of the factory team, we express our gratitude to you. Thank you very much! We congratulate you and the people of Azerbaijan. I have to speak here because I also addressed President Heydar Aliyev. I want to recall the words of our great leader, the unique personality Heydar Aliyev whom I love very much: “I believe in Ilham Aliyev like I believe in myself”. Our dear President, our people trust you very much, we love you very much. We know that all the work done and the successes achieved are associated with your name. I wish you good health and a long life. You have done such global work in Azerbaijan that one has to be blind not to see it all. We are proud of you and are glad that you are spending your precious time to come and meet with us. On behalf of the whole team, we express our gratitude to you. President Ilham Aliyev said:
- Thank you very much! Thank you for your kind words. I also wish success to the team. I am glad that the initiative I once put forward has led to such excellent results. Indeed, a world-class industrial enterprise has been set up. All the processes here complement each other - sowing, then picking the liquorice, packaging, drying, turning into syrup, extract and selling. In other words, the entire chain is provided here. And it is an export-oriented product. I saw that it had also received a number of prestigious awards, and this shows that the quality is also high. If it weren’t high, of course, it would be impossible to export it. It is possible to say that a new industrial sector has been created in our country. It will ensure our overall development and contribute to the creation of jobs. It is no coincidence that in the first nine months of this year, our non-oil industry grew by 15 percent - precisely thanks to such enterprises. The opening of such enterprises reduces our dependence on oil and gas, creates jobs, export-oriented products, and fetches currency to our country. Just have a look at how important and useful it is.
Of course, I see that you are very qualified specialists in this matter, are doing this work with great enthusiasm and confidence. Once again, I wish you every success. I hope you can expand the scope of your activities. My only recommendation to the newly-created enterprises that are producing excellent results is to expand your business as much as possible, because there is both market and demand. Congratulations again, and I wish you continued success!
