AERA, World Bank review project concerning gas leak detection and repair financing mechanism

A meeting was held at the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) with the Appraisal Mission of the World Bank’s Global Flaring and Methane Reduction (GFMR) Trust Fund, which is currently visiting Azerbaijan.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Board of AERA Samir Akhundov, Senior Energy Specialist and Head of the World Bank’s Task Team Sandu Ghidirim, as well as other members of the delegation and AERA staff.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the project concerning the gas leak detection and repair (LDAR) financing mechanism, as well as issues of mutual interest.
