BAKU TO HOST 11TH FRIENDSHIP, BROTHERHOOD, AND COOPERATION CONVENTION OF TURKISH STATES AND COMMUNITIES
The preparatory work for the 11th Friendship, Brotherhood, and Cooperation Convention of Turkish States and Communities to be held in Baku on November 17-19 under the aegis of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is coming to an end. The event will gather about 550 delegates from 30 countries.
Abdulhaluk Cay, Chairman of the TUDEV Executive Board of the Turkish-Speaking States and Communities Friendship, Brotherhood and Cooperation Foundation (TUDEV) noted that the 11th congress of Turkish-Speaking states and communities will mark a turning point in the work towards the single aim and idea.
The congress will discuss cooperation among Turkic-speaking nations in the fields of education, culture, science, trade tourism and finances, information exchange and other issues.
Participants of the congress will share their views on the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, how to get the Turkish Republic of the Northern Cyprus out of the international isolation, situation of Turkish-Speaking peoples in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The first congress was held in 1993 in Istanbul by the Turkish International Cooperation & Development Agency.
