Inti Munoz: Mexico has one of the largest and richest historic neighborhoods in the world
Baku, May 20, AZERTAC
“Mexico has one of the largest and richest historic districts in the world. Among the historical strata of this city, the urban building from the Aztec Empire and the Spanish colonial heritage occupy a special place,” said Mexico City’s Housing Secretary Inti Muñoz Santini during a panel session on “Rethinking Cultural Heritage and Inclusive Urban Regeneration” as part of WUF13.
He noted that this historical multi-tiered is being carefully preserved in the process of renewal and development of the city. “This historical heritage is of great importance for visitors to Mexico City and constitutes a key part of the city’s cultural identity. In recent years, the flow of tourists to Mexico City and the general life of the city have increased intensively,” Muñoz Santini underlined.
