KING ABDULLAH II OF JORDAN RECEIVES AZERBAIJANI AMBASSADOR TO THIS COUNTRY
King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of Jordan received Monday Azerbaijan’s ambassador to this country Elman Arasly.
Ambassador Arasly presented President Ilham Aliyev’s letter to King Abdullah II. Arasly stressed the importance of elevating economic and cultural relations to the level of political relationship.
King Abdullah II asked the ambassador to convey his greetings to President Ilham Aliyev. The King welcomed President Ilham Aliyev’s efforts to develop bilateral relations. Recalling his visit to Azerbaijan in August 2006 and Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Jordan in July 2007, the King said these visits gave an impetus to bilateral ties between the two countries. E. Arasly said the next year would mark the 15th anniversary of diplomatic relations. He stressed the importance of holding the events to mark it in both countries.
According to the King, marking of the anniversary is a good opportunity to develop relationships.
He stressed the need to develop economic relations.
Ambassador Arasly noted Azerbaijan hails King Abdullah’s efforts to establish peace and security in the Middle East.
