“The member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) approach global challenges such as climate change, human settlements, and other similar issues with great seriousness and strive to contribute to their resolution. In this direction, a number of programs and projects have been implemented within the organization, and we have ongoing works currently being executed,” Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), participat of the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13), told AZERTAC.
"By responding to the challenges of our time and building sustainable and modern cities, we can secure our future. To achieve this, it is essential to utilize new technologies and artificial intelligence within the urban planning process. These technologies safeguard ecological balance alongside ensuring human comfort in cities. Above all, modern cities must be resilient to floods, earthquakes, and other similar natural disasters. In order to properly shape and guarantee our future, we must focus on building modern, resilient cities. We have signed certain agreements, and these contracts are supported by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat). We will continue our cooperative relations with UN-Habitat. This collaboration helps us build fully inclusive cities," Kubanychbek Omuraliev emphasized.
Speaking about WUF13, the Secretary General noted that the event is highly significant and is carried out with the aim of ensuring human development on a global scale: "When it comes to Azerbaijan, it should be noted that the country has successfully executed many international events to date, and the WUF13 is very well organized."
