Panamanian Minister: Our goal is to preserve the social and residential function of restored historic areas

“One of the main challenges today is to ensure that companies responsible for the provision of social services by the state play a more active role in the housing development process. These institutions play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of life for every family,” said by Jaime Jované Jované, Panamanian Minister of Housing and Territorial Planning during a panel discussion on the topic "Two Regions, One Agenda: Lessons for Inclusive Urban Regeneration " as part of the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13).
He noted that serious efforts are being made to address housing needs at the national level.
