SOCAR president attends roundtable discussions with oil and gas industry executives in Abu Dhabi

President of Azerbaijan's state oil company, SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev has attended high-level roundtable discussions involving heads of the world`s 26 oil and gas giants such as BP, Total, Statoil, Petronas and Saudi Aramco in Abu Dhabi.
During the high-level discussions held at the headquarters of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, the industry executives had debates over global issues such as energy environment transformation, new dynamics of supply and demand.
The main topic of the roundtable discussions was the impact of advanced technologies and the distribution of new energy sources worldwide.
Having monitored the impacts of these processes and dynamics of supply-demand imbalances on global energy markets, the participants exchanged their views to better recognize new global challenges.
Following the roundtable discussions, presidents of SOCAR, BP, Total, Statoil, Petronas and Saudi Aramco companies held face-to-face and expanded meetings to discuss the existing partnership and prospects for future cooperation.
Abu Dhabi CEO Roundtable has been organized in Abu Dhabi by the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference. More than 2,000 companies from 135 countries have been represented at the exhibition and conference, which closes on November 16.
