WUF13 National Coordinator: Housing is about opportunity, security, and quality of life
Baku, May 20, AZERTAC
“Housing is about dignity, opportunity, security, and quality of life. It is about ensuring that our cities remain inclusive, resilient, and sustainable for present and future generations,” stated Anar Guliyev, National Coordinator for WUF13 and Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture, during his speech at the SPECA Forum (UN Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia) held within the framework of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
Speaking about Azerbaijan’s favorable geographical location, Anar Guliyev noted that major transport corridors connecting the East and the West pass directly through the country.
“Today, it is an honor for our capital to host this vital dialogue on the future of housing and urban development. The forum focuses on housing, residential development, and safe, resilient cities and communities, which reminds us that housing is not just about buildings and infrastructure,” the WUF13 National Coordinator added.
