Azerbaijan`s Economic Development Minister visits Croatia and Albania
Baku, November 10 (AZERTAC). An Azerbaijani delegation led by Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev has visited Croatia and Albania.
During the trip, Shahin Mustafayev has met Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanović to discuss the current state of economic relations and prospects for bilateral cooperation.
The Azerbaijani delegation also met with First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy Radimir Čačić and Siniša Hajdaš Dončić, the Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure.
They stressed the importance of expanding economic relations between Azerbaijan and Croatia.
A Croatia-Azerbaijan business forum was held as part of the visit of Shahin Mustafayev.
Radimir Čačić said Croatia attaches great importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan.
He stressed the importance of the business forum and working meetings in terms of expansion of bilateral relationship even more and development of the trade cooperation.
Mustafayev stressed the need to diversify the economic co-operation between the two countries, noting that Croatia is attractive for investments because of its geopolitical position and forthcoming accession to the EU.
Azerbaijan already has experience with investment in Croatia`s neighbors and today`s visit is an opportunity to determine where cooperation on projects of mutual interest should be speeded up or established, Mustafayev said.
As a part of visit to Albania, Azerbaijani Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev has held a number of meetings with Albanian officials, including Prime Minister Sali Berisha, Deputy prime minister and Minister of Economy, Trade and Energy Edmond Haxhinasto, Minister of Finance Ridvan Bode, Minister of Transport Sokol Olldashi and Mayor of Tirana city Lulzim Basha.
The meetings focused on current state of bilateral relations, expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries and implementation of the joint projects.
