Integration of Azerbaijani Youth to Europe Organization’s delegation participates in event in Norway

Baku, December 25 (AZERTAC). A delegation of the Integration of Azerbaijani Youth to Europe Organization (AGAT), including deputy chief Nargiz Khalaf, activists Lala Babayeva, Nigar Huseynova, Jale Aliyeva, Maryamkhanim Tagiyeva have participated in an event held within the European Union’s Youth in Action programme in Norway.
The event was attended by representatives of youth organizations from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Greece, Romania, Norway and other countries.
Speaking at the event, AGAT delegation briefed the participants on the reality of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, situation of refugees and IDPs living in Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani delegation spoke of the youth policy being implemented in the country. They also made a presentation on the Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
As a part of the event, AGAT delegation has met with Aleksandr Harang, the head of the Norwegian Peace Association to discuss ways of developing relations. They also familiarized themselves with the Nobel Peace Center.
AGAT and Norwegian youth organizations have achieved an initial agreement on joint implementation of two projects in 2014.
As part of the event, the “Evening of Azerbaijani culture” was also held, as well.
