Khazar University hosts lecture on “Perspectives on the European Union and the Black Sea Regional Cooperation”
Azerbaijan is one of the founders of the ICBSS.
Dr. Zefi Dimadama made a presentation about the ICBSS and BSEC, informing the student body about the publications of the centre. Dr. Dimadama provided her insights into the unfolding events in the wider Black Sea area which pose a challenge to regional integration and talked about opportunities for regional cooperation and the importance of the region for the European Union.
Greek Ambassador to Azerbaijan Dimitrios Tsoungas also informed the audience about the priorities of the Hellenic Chairmanship of the BSEC which is from 1 July 2014 to 31 December 2014.
The talk was preceded by the signing ceremony of the Cooperation and Academic Exchange Agreement between Khazar University and The International Centre For Black Sea Studies (ICBSS) - signed by Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees of Khazar University, and Dr. Zefi Dimadama.
The event was organized within the Jean Monnet European Seminar Series with the support of the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
