300 000 residents of Chicago were without light

Baku, June 23 (AZERTAC). USA Stormy weather that came down late on Tuesday in the U.S. city of Chicago, left without electricity more than 300 thousand inhabitants. As reported today, local authorities, from the electricity turned off and nearly two dozen railroad stations.

From strong wind gusts and heavy rain hit, mainly northern parts of the city. Here the wind speed reached 120 km per hour. Bad weather has led to large errors in the operation of airports. Only one Chicago airport, O`Hare were canceled 350 flights flew dozens of planes and not from Midway Airport.

The storm also took a territory in Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan. According to the forecasts of meteorologists in the near future throughout the region to the south-west of the Great Lakes remains a possibility of formation of new cyclones, including hurricanes and tornados.
