5 dead in Norwegian helicopter crash

Baku, July 5 (AZERTAC). A helicopter belonging to the Norwegian transportation company "Airlift" crashed on Monday night in the mountains west of Norway killing all five people on board.

According to preliminary data, poor weather conditions caused the disaster.

There is currently a very heavy fog in the mountain valley of Dalamut, where the tragedy occurred.

The company "Airlift" has the largest helicopter fleet in Scandinavia. 17 helicopters are based in the Norwegian city of Førde and some of them are used in rescue work under contract with the Norwegian government.
