Azerbaijani MP: Why other regions of Azerbaijan, as well as 7 villages of Gazakh were occupied?

Baku, October 25, AZERTAC

Why those reputable international organizations don't address to Armenians such questions as "why other regions of Azerbaijan, as well as 7 villages of Gazakh were occupied", "why did they seize the citizens of the occupied territories, expelled them from their ancestral lands", "why did they burn alive young and elderly people, children and women without mercy", "what was the fault of these people", "why did they continue to destroy our historical and cultural monuments in these areas"....

Since the beginning of the war in Karabakh, Armenian Armed Forces have attacked all border regions of Azerbaijan. I am just wondering why those reputable international organizations don't address to Armenians such questions as "why other regions of Azerbaijan, as well as 7 villages of Gazakh were occupied", "why did they seize the citizens of the occupied territories, expelled them from their ancestral lands", "why did they burn alive young and elderly people, children and women without mercy", "what was the fault of these people", "why did they continue to destroy our historical and cultural monuments in these areas" along with other fictitious, false allegations about Karabakh.

Today, in Gazakh region where I was elected MP, 7 villages which is 11 percent of that region are under occupation. This means that 7,000 people were displaced from these villages and live as IDPs in their homeland. The property and livestock of these people were plundered, by causing them physical and moral suffering. Close relatives of these people were killed, burned alive. The historical and cultural monuments of the 5th-7th, 12th and 16th centuries were wiped off the face of the earth. Isn't it a crime? What else is needed for international organizations to react? Since 1990, the population of the villages bordering with Armenia, has been constantly bombarded by the Armenian armed forces, and innocent civilians have been shot by snipers. Those people living in border villages are constantly forced to live in fear. They are worried for their lives, for their children and loved ones. Gazakh, Tovuz, Aghstafa towns where I was elected MP are among them as well and I see with my own eyes how these people suffer from Armenian aggression. Isn't this a gross violation of human rights? Though we declare it to the whole world, unfortunately, we do not see the necessary reaction from the international organizations.

In 1971, the Aghstafachay lake with a capacity of 120,000 m3 was built and put into operation in the west of our country on the border with the Republic of Armenia, intended for both drinking water and irrigation of 70,000 hectares. I should also note that the Aghstafachay lake is fed by river water from Armenia. The results of the analysis of water samples taken at different times show that the wastewater of various industrial enterprises and factories located in Armenia is discharged into the river that feeds the Agstafachay lake. This means that the Armenian side continues to violate the requirements of international conventions by deliberately polluting drinking water basins.

For almost 30 years, there is not a single institution or organization that have not heard our voice, however, the representatives of influential human rights organizations do not hear or see these injustices. This aggressive policy of Armenia did not shake the hopes of our people, people have been waiting for 30 years with patience and hope that our lands will be liberated through peaceful negotiations. However, seeing that these expectations were not met, our people, the brave sons of our people, rallied around our Supreme Commander-in-Chief, like a fist, took up arms and began a holy struggle for the return of the lands of our ancestors. Every day, our Supreme Commander-in-Chief makes us happy and proud with the good news of the victory of our Mighty Army along the entire front. I wish this fight a speedy and successful victory! May all our soldiers return home safe and sound, so that mothers do not shed tears. Let there be only tears of joy flowing from our eyes! May God protect our people, our Army, our Supreme Commander-in-Chief!
