Baku, May 15, AZERTAC
As part of its new column, AZERTAC continues to spotlight fascinating yet little-known landmarks in Baku and its surroundings. This time, our journey takes us to Victory Park – a place that eternalizes the heroic legacy of the Patriotic War.
Victory Park, which preserves the chronicle of the Azerbaijani people's triumph, and immortalizes the cherished memory of the nation’s martyrs, has become a symbol of pride and reverence. It reflects the glorious story of Azerbaijan’s historic victory in the 44-day Patriotic War.
Spanning nearly ten hectares, this expansive and magnificent park captivates visitors with both its spiritual aura and striking architectural design.
At the park’s entrance stands the monumental Victory Arch – a symbolic tribute to the 44-day Patriotic War. The arch is 44 meters high, 22 meters wide, and features 44 columns.
The park was inaugurated on November 8, 2024, by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
